It was an honor to sit down with some inimitable leaders from the Engineering and Construction Industries at a roundtable hosted by the Cincinnati Business Courier.
We had powerful conversations and I was deeply inspired by the people in the room.
Etta Reed of Bayer Becker is so magnetic. I admire and respect her strength and wisdom. She highlighted that we are all in the business of relationships. Without the people in our lives, life looses a bit of its meaning and impact. Bayer Becker is a great company that I’ve had the pleasure of working with and seeing firsthand their genuine passion for literally shaping the earth we live on.
**Trivia alert** Bayer Becker actually shared an office in Covington with my firm… way back in the day when it was named “Piaskowy and Cooper Architecture.”
Erin Mignano of Turner Construction Company inspired me with her intellectual genius, polish, and passion for making the world a better place. Her dedication to her craft as a leader is a force. Turner is known for constructing iconic buildings throughout the country. To me, contractors are alchemists – bringing our architectural designs to life. I have a deep respect for this field. When I meet people like Erin – that is people that are in the right seat, doing big, bold, important things in the world – It makes me want to see a world where everyone can have their dream job, like Erin does. It is obvious to me, that this is the job she was born to do. I like to imagine a world where everyone has the opportunity and privilege to put their unique genius out into the world. What a place our world would become.
And thank you to Kelly Snyder for your grace, your curiosity, and allowing us to tell just a tiny bit of our story.
