Boys & Girls Club - Covington location: Repurposing a space formerly occupied by a pool + many more upgrades.

First, lets acknowledge what The Boys and Girls Clubs do for our communities: They are a safe place for kids to go and spend that time of day when they are most needing support. It is the after school hours that bleed into the evening that when left alone there are highly consequential choices that children make. The Boys and Girls Club in 1939 knew this and they provided a solution. A very healthy alternative to being alone or on the street. Not only is it a safe place for our youth, the club provides leadership, spaces to complete schoolwork and study, place to exercise and let off some steam. The Boys ad Girls Club is a great organization and we are so thrilled to be able to assist in making their work safer, easier and an attractive choice.

The club in Covington started with a building that wasn’t meeting the needs of the youth or staff. We designed a new space that replaced the high maintenance pool and turned it into a new entry and 2 large gathering rooms for the older students. The main entry was redesigned with a refresh on the awning and a brand new entrance on the east end of the building. Both entrances are vibrant with colorful and playful custom murals to welcome students, staff and guests alike. The hard working spaces inside the building are enhanced with movable furniture to adapt to the needs of those using the space.

We are excited to see the Boys & Girls Club continue to make an impact in their community.

The Boys & Girls Club offers a fun, safe and educational space for youth to come after school.
