Founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria, Hofbrauhaus has been a part of Germany’s long and rich brewing history. The original beer hall is located in Munich, Germany but has recently gained notoriety by expanding its locations around the world. Hofbrauhaus Newport was the first of its kind to open in North America. Each beer hall strives to offer the most authentic Hofbrauhaus experience through decor, food and drink.
Originally used as a car dealership and later as a beer distributer, this historic building was the perfect setting to put the first authentic Hofbrauhaus in North America.
The design motif uses materials, equipment and furniture from Germany while salvaging items such as the bow trusses from the existing building providing a one of a kind atmosphere.
